RNLI Queensferry Lifeboat was launched to a report of a capsized dinghy.

Forth Coastguard requested the lifeboat following a telephone call to the police from a concerned member of the public who reported sighting a washed up unattended inflatable dinghy on the shore at mouth of the River Carron at Grangemouth.

After an extensive search the lifeboat discovered not a dinghy, but sitting high and dry, a red leather armchair.
The police were informed and the lifeboat returned to the station at South Queensferry.
