A brief history of Queensferry Lifeboat

1998

A boathouse extension was completed in July.

1997

The Atlantic 21 lifeboat was withdrawn and the Atlantic 75 lifeboat Donald and Ethel Macrae was placed on service on 8 May.

1989

A new boathouse was built providing a crew and training room, a changing room, store and toilet facilities.

1974

Framed Letters of Thanks were awarded to Crew Members R Mackay, J Smith and G McAlpine for the rescue, in very severe conditions, of a man when his small dinghy was washed onto Swallow Craig rock on 8 December.
